Introducing the Cosmic Voyage, a stunning limited edition 180g white vinyl that showcases the experimental brilliance of the band Flying Moon In Space. Originating from Leipzig, Germany, this seven-piece ensemble is known for their captivating live improvisations that can extend for hours, resulting in a unique musical experience.
With nearly fifty performances in their hometown and collaborations with renowned acts like The Holydrug Couple and Elephant Stone, they have crafted an album that blends Krautrock elements, vibrant psychedelic pop, and techno influences. The track ‘Ardor’ stands out with its intense 11-minute drone, bordering on industrial soundscapes.
The band’s influences range from iconic groups such as Can, Neu!, and Brian Eno, but their sound is distinctly driven by their improvisational approach. Their live shows feature four guitars, bass, drums, and vocals, creating expansive soundscapes filled with hypnotic beats and rich reverb.
As the band reflects, “We gain our main influences during experimenting live with different rhythms, layers of sounds, and other textures. The energy that comes from performing with a large group elevates our musical perception.” The album was developed during their live shows in 2019, capturing a pivotal moment in their artistic journey.
